In the pursuit of a successful female Vietnamese health professional dedicated and passionate about her work and the Vietnamese community, a snow-balling of referrals led me to the New York City-based dentist/humanitarian Dr. My Huong Ta. Her recent volunteerism in providing free dental care to the Vietnamese refugees in Palau of the Philippines compelled BN to spotlight this remarkable individual. By phone interview, I traced the biography of an American refugee rags to riches success story-turned-social philanthropist/activist.
