Meet Doctor Ta
M. H. Ta, DDS
My family and I escaped South Vietnam in 1981 in the quest for political asylum. After a life threatening voyage at sea we were fortunate to be taken in for refuge by the United States of America. I spent 9 years in Rochester NY, where I graduated valedictorian from Benjamin Franklin High in 1986. I received a full scholarship to the University of Rochester where I attained my BS degree in Microbiology. After my undergraduate studies were complete, I earned a full scholarship to SUNY at Stonybrook Dental School of Medicine. Through many hours of study and infinite numbers of exams I completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1994.
I then went on to an AEGD program (Advanced education for General dentistry) at UCSF for one year. Since obtaining my degree I have attended extensive education courses and seminars in cosmetic, TMJ (temporal mandibular joint) disorder, and Implant dentistry. My extensive experience in General Dentistry has allowed me to treat all types of patients including many medically compromised patients, the mentally challenged, and chronically ill bed-bound patients. I have worked in the inner city clinics in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens, as well as prestigious dental offices on 5th Avenue and Park Avenue in New York and in San Francisco, California. I have done full mouth reconstruction for the needy as well as cosmetic dental makeovers for well known reporters, actors, diplomats and prominent business men and women.
